If I've been in a situation where I recieved a gift of money, I would rather spend them on a piece of jewlery than on tickets to a concert. The basis of my view are based on several reasons.
First of all, a peace of jewelry would always serve during hard times. No one can ever predict the future. There might be times where a person would be in an urgent need for money, and jewleries in such cases are extremely beneficial. A good example is my neighbor who once told me that when her husband was without a job for six monthes, they would not have managed, if it was not for all the jewleries that she used to purchase whenever she had the opportunity to do so. Therefore, during their tough time, her jeweleries had been a great relief for them.
Secondly, I can always inherit my jeweleries to my kids in the future. It has been a tradition for so many families to keep jeweleris for their children or even their grand children, so that it would be a reminiscent of them. My mother had actually given me a diamond necklace that was hers from her mother, as a gift on my wedding ceremony. Simultaneously, I'm planning to keep it for my daughter, as I'm sure she would love it and value it.
Finally, a peace of jewelery is something that I can adorn myself with in special occasions. Almost all women appreciate jeweleries and like to adorn themselves with, in order to add to their beauty. I personally would like to put on my diamond earings only when I go to special events and ceremonies, it makes me feel confident and beautiful. Thus, jeweleries means a lot for me, and I definitely prefer them on any other gift.
