Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to tell you about my latest work related three-day crash course on Value Added Tax, which was organized by the Federal tax Authority in Dubai and available in two slots from 1st May to 3rd May 2019 and 1st Jun to 3rd Jun 2019. I attended it in May slot.

I liked many points about this course. Firstly, I liked the idea to make business community aware, and not to simply enact the law and levy penalty. Course content and planning, they made, was quite impressive. While they started the presentation, it was mainly about the historical background of VAT and followed with reason for introducing VAT in the country. Gradually, they explained its registration in a quite interesting way followed by that invoicing section. Finally, they ended the lecture with hefty penalties thereto for anyone’s wrongdoings and their tax evasion. Overall, their presentation was well-organized in itself.

On the other hand, there are some areas for improvement which I would like to recommend them. Speakers were not much confident in reverse charge mechanism topic, probably, due to lack of exposure they got. The suggestion, in future, government may pick up some presenters from diversified to who can explain this topic very well with some practice examples and not simply being staff of Big 4. In addition, government should introduce few more slots.
With this, I would like to wrap up with a note of thanks to nominate on company behalf and helping me to sharpen my skill set with this course.

Yours sincerely
Tom Edward
