Essay topics:

The chart shows the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The three pie charts illustrate the proportions of sodium, saturated fats, and added sugar in American meals including snacks and breakfast. All of the nutrients are detrimental if consumed in large amounts.
Overall, the percentage of all the above-mentioned nutrients are the least in breakfast and most during dinner except for added sugar that is the highest proportion in snacks eaten by American.
The percentage of sodium is found to be in large volume in dinner, containing 43%, whereas added sugar constitutes just below a quarter. American people consume the least portion of sodium during breakfast and in snacks with an equal figure of 14 percent, resembling the least among others. While during the lunch almost one-third of nutrients is shared by sodium, its value doubled for saturated fats i. e. 26%.
During breakfast, the percentage of saturated fats and added sugar is 16%, however, in the case of snacks, the ratio is nearly doubled: the latter outweighs the former.
