The bar chart below shows the numbers of men and women attending various evening course at an adult education centre in year 2009. The pie chart gives information about the ages of these course participants.

Before us, we have two charts, and the bar chart provides information and measurements on four types of evening courses that men and women participate in. Moving on to the pie chart, we can see a breakdown of the percentage of age of participants from under 20 to above 50.
As a starting point, we can see that in the bar chart the women chose to take the language class the most, and showed the least interest in the sculpture class. Not only is that general point interesting, but also the men selected painting more than any other class, and we can see that the drama and sculpture classes are tied for the lowest number of men. As a final point, the pie chart shows that under 20 enrolled the least, and the over 50 took the top percentage.
Starting with the drama class, we can see that double the amount of women take this course, and with the painting class there are 30 women and 25 men, so a slight difference of 5. The sculpture class is the only one where men surpass women with 10 men and 5 women. As a final point, the women have 40 enrolled which doubles the amount of men.
Moving on to the pie chart we can see that 37% more 50+ are enrolled than the under 20 aged group. The 40-49 ages are at 26%, which is 10% more than the 30-39 group. Finally, our 20-29 ages sit right at 11%, very close to the bottom.
