The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

The bar chart depicts the amount billion kWh of electricity generated and consumed in in ten distinction countries in 2004.

As can be seen from the chart, there was no significant difference between the amount of electricity production and consumption of each country. China was the country producing and using electricity top one worldwide while South Korean consumed the least during the time shown.

In China, they generated 5.398 billion kWh and used 5.322 billion kWh electricity which was nearly tenfold higher than that of Brazil. While USA produced 4.099 billion kWh of electricity in 2004, they only used 3.866 billion kWh. There was a dramatic decrease in the amount of consumption and generation in following countries such as Russia, Japan, India which were hovered around 700 to 1.057 billion kWh.

Germany was the only country which had the amount of electricity using at 582.5 billion kWh higher than the equivalent figure of their production. Korean Republic witnessed the lowest billion kWh in both production and consumption electricity which was 485.1 and 449.5 respectively.
