Interestingly in 1955 we can view that all the age range has good amount of ideal weight ranging between 10% to 80%, with the highest amounting in youngsters of age 20-29 and least among the old age of above 60 years. People who were underweight belonged to all age groups in 1955, with the least of around 15% in adults of age 40-49 and peak of 40% in age range of 60-69. There were hardly any overweight young people of 20-29 years in 1955 in contrast to people who were 20 % overweight in age range of 30-49. In 1955, obesity was an issue with the inhabitants after they turned 40 years old.
In 2015, people became more obese and less underweight as opposed to 1955. Elders of 60 years and more were highest obese and youngsters accounted accounted for barely 3-5%. However, there were more underweight crowd among 20-29 age range compared to 60-69 range. Strangely, the overweight percentage was the same in both age groups of 30-39 and 40-49 at around 40% and it surged a lot in old people from 1955. Ideal weight was the most in 20-29 age range and least in 60-69.
To sum up, inhabitants of Charlestown were less obese and overweight in 1955 compared to 2015 and there were more underweight people in 1955 than in 2015.
