The details about the underground railway system in six metropolis ( London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington Dc, Kyoto, Los Angeles) is shown by the table.

Overall, it is apparent that the railway system began in the 1900's, except for London which opened in the 1800's and Los Angeles in 2001. London took the longest distance and is the earliest to establish while the latest is Los Angeles. Tokyo is the busiest of the given city.

The underground railway system began in London in the year 1863, with the highest travel distance of 394km, however, its the fourth most patronised of the with 775 million passengers per year.

In addition, Tokyo was opened in 1927 and recorded maximum passengers of 1927 per year, but the distance covered is a little above average when compared to London. Also, Kyoto which was established in 1981, twenty years earlier than Los Angeles travelled 11km, a little below average of the distance journeyed by Los Angeles and has a passenger of 45 million per year, making it the least busy underground railway system of the given metropolis.
