The tables present the amount of fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas sold in 1994 and 2004 in UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden.
Overall, UK had the most proportion of sales of coffee in while the biggest number of money from bananas sold were in Switzerland both 1994 and 2004.
In 1994, the figure of money from coffee brought in UK was only at 1.5 millions of euros which dramatically increased to reach a peak at 20 millions of euros in 2004. In addition, the income from coffee sold in Switzerland in 2004 grew in double rate in comparison with that in 1999 which was from 3 to 6 millions. Whereas, Sweden had the lest sales of coffee in both years that were only approximately 0.9 millions. On the other hand, the money from bananas bought of Switzerland witnessed the significant increase which in 2004 was about three times as much as that in 1999. The sale of bananas in Belgium, which was the least out of all countries in 1999, about 0.6 millions went up considerably to 4 millions. Moreover, there was a considerable reduction in sales of bananas in Denmark from 1999 to 2004 which make this country gain the last place in sales of bananas out of five countries in 2004.
