Task 1: The table shows the amount of money given in aid of technology of developing countries by charities in the US, EU and other countries from 2006 to 2010.

The table illustrates the amount of donations made by the US, UK and other countries in order to support technological development in developing countries between 2006 and 2010.
Overall, it is noticeable from the table that there was an upward trend in the amount of money by charities throughout the five-year period. Additionally, the money donated by the US charities was by far highest.
The total amount of money given by all charities saw a dramatic increase from 15.7 billion of US dollars in 2006 to 24.3 billion in 2009. The number continued to rise sharply to 30 billion dollars in the following year, the highest number recorded in the table. The US charities contributed 9.7 billion in 2006, half of the total amount of money and the figure then climbed steadily to reach its peak at 22.7 billion in 2010.
At the beginning of the given period, in EU, countries gave charities from 3.3 billion in 2006 and the aid slowly grew to 3.1 billion in 2008. The figure then dropped slightly by half a billion to 2.6 billion in 2009 and in the following year, the money was at a record of 4 billion dollars. Meanwhile, charities in other countries also provided increasing aid. Despite a similar fluctuation to EU charities in the amount given each year, donations went up from $2.7 billion in 2006 to reach $3.3 billion in 2010.
