Life was better when technology was simpler.
To what extent do you agree and disagree?
It is argued that if technology was not developed, life would be better. This essay totally disagrees with this statement because the development of technology lead to convenient communication and flexible working place and time.
The invention of smart phones and world wide web has been improving the way people communicate to each other. There are numbers of apps that allow people connect to anyone around the world such as Skype, Facetime or Facebook. While before this invention people can only sent mails or made long distance phone calls which costed them a large amount of money, those apps are all free and make the connection faster. For example, I am living in Canada while my parent are in Vietnam. By a simple touch on the screen, I can talk to them and see their face every day which was impossible 20 years ago.
Another reason why technology bring a better life to human is the fact that it allows people to work at home. With a computer that is connected to the Internet, employees can receive their job duties and work anywhere they want. To illustrate, my friend who are living in the US has opened an online course to teach IELTS and his students come from all nations of the world. By introducing this school he can earn a lot of money while he still has time to take care of his family. Besides, his students can study with him and achieve high scores although they are not living in the US.
In conclusion, the development of technology brings the convenience in communication to human and it also allows the flexibility in working.
