Lost an item in your trip. Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company
- Describe the item
- How you lost it
- What you want them to do

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to claim my travel insurance regarding a bag which I lost on my recent trip to London. My insurance number is KLM34875.

I was coming back to Toronto, as the flight got delayed and I was starving so I went to eat something from this restaurant. I kept my bag on a chair where I was sitting. While I was eating, a sudden announcement for my flight came up and it was the last one to call all the passengers to board the flight. As a thought of losing my flight, I ran from there to my gate and boarded the plane. Later on, I discovered that I had left my bag in the restaurant.

The color of my bag is dark brown with prominent white stitching on all its borders. It has personalized engraving of my name at the back. It is in an okay condition with some rough patch on edges. You will find my visiting cards and some papers related to budgeting and portfolios of companies.

Could you please check the lost and found department of that restaurant? If it is not there then I would appreciate a claim on it as it covered in my insurance. I would say, it would cost me around 100$ to buy a replacement. I would really appreciate if you could contact me with a solution as soon as possible.

Thank you for your help.

Yours faithfully,
Ahsan Abid.
