A motorway is to be built near your house. As you think that is will destroy areas of natural beauty. Write a letter to the local authorities. In your letter

• Express your views

• Explain what damage will be caused

• Suggest alternative routes

Dear who may concern,

I am writing this letter to stop building a motorway near my house for some reasons.

To begin with, various animals live in the mountain right besides of the planned motorway such as deer, rabbit and even rare types of birds. The problem is that, according to recent research, those animals are not the ones can adapt to changed environment easily. Therefore, it is highly possible that the considerable amount of animal would be decreased with the new road.

Moreover, the increased traffic would have negative impacts on residents' health. Many people decided to live this area because of the fresh and clean air. More gas emission from the vehicles would definitely affect the quality of the air, and it will hinder their well-being life in countryside.

Of course, I get the necessity of more roads. What I can suggest is to use another route which is near Hamton area as it was mainly used for storage purpose. Also, it has lower density compared to my house area, so it would be better place to build.

I hope you consider my suggestion and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
