• Suggest what you will do later at work if you have off time
• Say how the qualification helps your job or company.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request you for a month off from work in order to complete my Master’s in business relations. I have almost finished my project work and assignments which need to be submitted before the 20th of February.

I joined this office last year, since then I have not taken any unnecessary leave, so I have some leave balance of twenty days, which I would like to utilize now. In addition to that, I might need ten more days leave to complete my exams. I would be grateful if you could provide me with the leave which I need now without a salary reduction. Even if I am off from work I will answer all the emails and be present in the office on emergency situations. On return, I assure you that I will come to the office earlier than usual and work on Saturdays so that I can catch up with the work.

I understand in my absence there will be some inconvenience to you and rest of the team but I guarantee you that my qualification will surely be beneficial to the company. As our company is planning to expand, by incorporate new clients, my expertise will help to build better business relations with present and prospective customers.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
