Dear Sir,
I am writing this to let you know that I need some unpaid leave holidays from regular schedule of my job.
Let me explain this in detail. My younger brother, who has completed the Engineering bachelor degree last month from university in the USA has invited me for the annual convocation which has been scheduled on the 12 October, next week.As our other family members cannot attend this event, so I have to be part of this memorable event of my brother's life.Also, this will be great opportunity to spend some time together and explore some exciting places of the United States.Therefore, I have planned to take holidays from 9th October to 13th October which is 5 days and I will be back at work on Monday on 15th October.These holidays contain 4 days off from a week from Tuesday to Friday.
As I have checked my work details of following week, I have been assigned less work load. However, in my absence, my colleague Tony will handle the tasks on my part, and I have already discussed with him about this matter. Further, he has given me a positive response and ensure that he will try to make-up my work simultaneously along with his own duties.
It would be great if you grant me 5 days off from my work.
