You have just won two tickets to a concert and want to invite your friend to go with you.
Write a letter to your friend. In the letter
• give details about the concert
• describe how you won the tickets
• explain why you’ve chosen your friend to go with you.
Dear Jane,
Hi. I am writing this letter to share with you that I have won two tickets for a concert and you will be excited to know who the performer is. Not only this, we get a chance to have a photograph clicked with the singer.
This programme is going to happen seven days from now, that is 25stJuly, 2020 and let me now tell you about the performer. Yes, it is our favourite Euphoria Band!! Aren’t you thrilled to know this? I am not able to control my emotions because of the excitement running in my blood. I went to the Super Market the other day to buy some groceries for myself. While paying on the bill counter, I overheard two people talking about some concert. Out of curiosity, I approached them to fetch a few details and eventually got the contact details of the organizing body. I contacted them and they told me that there is an offer wherein I just have to play a small quiz and if I answer all questions correctly, I win two tickets. I took the quiz and within 12 minutes, I got a congratulation mail from them with two QR codes to access my tickets.
Both of us have been great fans of this band since our school days. You must be remembering that we used to buy each of their albums out of our pocket money. The moment I got to know that Euphoria is going to be the performers, the only name that struck my mind was yours. I am sure you will add this date to your calendar.
Looking forward to seeing you soon to have a blast.
Take care.
Yours truly,
Navpreet
