Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you regarding the recent article you published about the city of Anand last week, 2nd September, in Times magazine.
The article gives a brief history of Anand and then continues to focus on Amul Dairy and how it changed the milk industry since it's establishment in 1948. I would like to point out an error specifying the starting date of the company. in fact, it was a major mistake as the operation of Amul started in 1942.
During that time, the atmosphere was quite hostile and there was chaos all over the country. The males we're at there was no livelihood for the females and kids. That is one of the reasons why Amul was established and it played a pivotal role in the fight against the Britishers. Those years we're very essential and the people should know how it shaped the future of not only Anand but India as a whole.
I hope you will publish this correction in next month's article. I would also urge you to ensure that all the factual data is checked before publication.
Looking forward to a positive reply.
Yours faithfully,
Jocelyn Mascarenhas.
