You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.
Write a letter to the parents. In your letter
– explain why you would like the job
– give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
– say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in applying for the position of an au pair that was advertised in the weekly issue of Sydney magazine.

My name is Rina Sam and I am an exchange student at Melbourne University. Origionally, I am from India, and I have completed my English language course with flying colors. Moreover, I have been given a stay permit for 8 months in which I am allowed to work. Since by staying with your family I can not only further brush up on my English skills but also understand the traditional culture of an Australian family.

I think I will be most suited for this position because I am an homely person and like to cook and clean. While I am staying at your house, I will cook various varities of delicious Indian food, if you prefer to eat them. Also, during my ideal time I can take your daughter to a park or for a walk. In addition, I am experience in looking after young kids as I am the eldest in my family and I have three younger sibilings. I have helped my parents to take care of them from their early years. After staying with you, I intend to explore Queensland and spend by rest duration there.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Rina Sam.
