You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
- Describe the situation / Unable to concentrate on my studies and do project work
- Explain your problems and why it is difficult to work / , loud music, visitors,
- Say what kind of accommodation you would prefer

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to let you know that I am very upset with my current accommodation. While the room itself is fine, my housemate has become intolerable making it almost impossible for me to work. I hope you could resolve this matter as soon as possible.

Let me explain you in more detail. The trouble started three months ago when my current roommate first moved in. He wakes up almost all the night and plays loud music, due to which I am unable to concentrate on my assignments. The situation was better earlier as my previous roommate was supportive and considerate.

Would you kindly transfer me or my roommate to another room? I would prefer to share a room with someone quieter and considerate of others. As long as it is quiet, I don’t mind whom I live with. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Sincerely
John Smithson
