You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job. Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:

say why she/he would not enjoy going to college.
explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her

Dear Krishna,
Hi!!! I hope you are in the pink of life there. Concerning recommending whether to opt for College or Job, I will definitely recommend you to get the job first before going for further educational programmes.

To be very honest with you, in my last 3 years of work experience, I have learned a lot as compared to what we have been taught in our engineering curriculum. There are daily challenges which need to face, and the way corporates works are best to experience, and you will surely enjoy it.

After getting a job, you can go for master degree in the specific field you enjoy working in; this is what I am doing it. When you work somewhere, getting your hands dirty or researching the products, it not only provides a vast experience about the topic but also makes one realise about its career likes and dislikes. Once you get to know about your strengths in the core field, take a masters degree in that specific field which would enhance your knowledge a lot.

Finally, since you were really good at designing and analytical thinking. You can utilise that knowledge and get the job in the relevant field. If you are interested, I can recommend you in the same company, I am working in. You can send me your latest resume, and I will forward it to the HR department.
Make a wise decision and let me know if any more help required from my end.
Yours sincerely,
Shreyas
