Essay topics:

You visited a museum recently with an elderly relative. However, he or she had difficulty walking around the museum. Write a letter to the manager and say :

Whom did you visit the museum with?
What problems did he or she face?
Suggest a solution that will improve the museum visit experience for elder people.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing with regard to my recent visit to your museum last week on Saturday. I was accompanied by my uncle who is a senior citizen and 70 years of age. Moreover, he has arthritis, hence he needs continuous support of a walking stick. However, his enthusiasm and spirit to gain knowledge about new things are undeterred.

Let me elaborate more on the overall experience. Firstly, the entire tour of the art gallery was very pleasant. Despite, being 95 years old, the heritage is well maintained. However, there is no provision for elderly people's comfort. A total of 1000 sq. ft stretch along with 3 floors is suitable for youngsters but it becomes difficult for people with disabilities. My uncle felt breathless after walking for half an hour and therefore we could not cover the top floor art.

I request you to take certain measures to make it a favorable experience for every age group. A couple of suggestions from my end include the provision of wheelchairs from the entrance which can facilitate long-distance without exertion for older people. Furthermore, if possible, please construct lifts so that every individual can take a view of each and every corner of the museum.

Hope my feedback will be put to action in the future.

Yours faithfully,
Dimple Patel
