Things like puzzles, board games and pictures can contribute to a child’s development. What would you give a child to help him/her develop and why? Give details and examples in your explanation.

Engagement of children in various activities like puzzles, board games and pictures can be a useful contribution to the child's growth. I am going to shed some light on some of the activities which is quintessential for children development along with the reasons of doing it.

Firstly, perhaps one of the significant thing which I would pass to the children would be reading books. This is because it will helps the children to get acquainted with new vocabulary, idioms and collocation which can be used by them not only in their day to day life but also in their academic life. For instance, pupils with a good amount of interest in reading books were found to be a great writer and communicator in their academic and work life. In addition, children become quite adept at reading and translating newspapers to their local language to guardians.

Secondly, After successfully, acquiring reading skills children's should engage themselves in writing activity. This may sound  a bit strange at first hand but it can prove very useful especially to young non-native children because it will force them to interpret their thoughts from their local language to some other language like English. Furthermore, young children can have the ability to write variety of complex sentences  based on the interactions happened in their school and personal life.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that children can reap a lot of benefits which can contribute to their overall growth and development provided they must engage in reading and writing.
