It goes without saying that nowadays we experience a high level of stress because of our modern lifestyle and hectic schedule. This level of stress and anxiety can predispose us to a wide range of mental and physical diseases. Therefore, it is vital to find a practical approach to relax and decrease stress. Personally speaking, I agree that spending time alone is an efficient way to find peace of mind. I feel this way for two main reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.
To begin with, spending time alone brings us a calm and quiet environment that is the best time to meditate and contemplate. During the day, we struggle with various problems. Our brain is overloaded with a lot of information, which stimulates stress. Alone time is a peaceful opportunity for our brain to process what is going on in our life and focus on the reasons for our stress. Being alone distances us from stressors and gives us an opportunity to engage in activities like yoga and meditation in order to strengthen our mental health.
Secondly, being alone allows you to save your energy and use it to relax your mind. We spend a lot of energy speaking and interacting with other people. In a stressful situation, being in the presence of others and trying to spend energy on making connections with them can exhaust us and increase our anxiety. Moreover, we often try to hide our stress because we do not like others to think that we are not strong enough to handle hard situations, and keeping stress hidden is frustrating. On the other hand, when you are alone, you can unleash yourself without being worried about anyone's judgment. As a result, you can spend all of your energy on managing your stress and relieve it.
In conclusion, I believe that solitude is the best opportunity to relieve stress and reduce it. This is because it provides us a quiet and peaceful environment to focus and practice relaxing activities, and it gives us a break from social interactions and saves our energy.
