Essay topics:

Some people like to keep a record of their own experiences by uploading pictures and other information to social-networking sites. Other people prefer not to create such records.Which approach do you prefer, and why?Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Some people believe that uploading people's own experiences are risky and not private. However, I think posting one's own experiences can be one kind of ways to record their life and memories, and one kind of tools to help faint-hearted people.

First of all, recording and uploading pictures and other information to social-networking
sites can be one part of individual's memory during their life time. Posting photos about one's life might be the best way to record, because it would not be gone, unless that person deleted the post on purpose. For example, my mom has started her own Youtube channel since she was eighteen. She uploaded her life videos, such as first time going to the bar, traveling with her friends, and studying in the coffee shop. Decades have passed, and I could see not only her youth, but also her life information and beautiful memories that I did not know about her. Therefore, momentous record can be remarkable, by looking back at their memory they had gone through in the past.

Secondly, by uploading those records, it may help that person to easily socialize with others. Some people have trouble associating with people, especially in the new environment. Social-networking sites benefits those people, because it helps them to share and look at others life without facing them in the reality. For instance, when I first moved to Canada, I had hard times making friends because I was a timid girl. My neighbor recommended me to download the app called Instagram. After I downloaded it, I uploaded pictures of myself with hashtags. Then, random people started to like my post and follow my account. Some followers even commented about my life pictures. This help me to get rid of loneliness, and interact with various people around the world. Hence, posting photos and information in social-networking sites have many advantages, giving more chance to make different friends.

In conclusion, uploading people's own experiences would leave record, which include their important time of their life. Also, it can assist introverted people to socialize with various people, using social-networking sites. These are the reasons that I prefer to share records of my life to the others.
