Imagine that you are in a classroom or a meeting. The teacher or the meeting leader says something incorrect. In your opinion, which of the following is the best thing to do?

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

It is not easy for us to point out the mistake of the leader or the teacher because it might hurt the feeling of them. I admit that there are many opinions about this; however, we should correct their mistakes with no hesitation, in my opinion. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explain in the following essay.

To begin with, we can present our knowledge and skills by pointing out the mistake. In the lecturer, teachers often make mistakes even though they are familiar with the topic. Many students are reluctant to point out the mistake because they often assume that it may harm their reputation by the teacher. However, for the point of the teachers, they want their students to point out the mistake because they can avoid teaching incorrect content. Besides, the students who correct the mistake can gain some benefits. They can present their skills and knowledge to their teacher. My personal experience is a compelling example of this. When I was a freshman at university, I took a physics course. In the lecturer, I noticed the mistake of the teacher's equation on the blackboard, and I pointed out the mistake and corrected that. I was afraid that the teacher would feel awkward; however, he just thanked me and corrected the mistake. Consequently, I could get credit from him and, I could get an A in his class.

Next, we can avoid the unreasonable conclusion of the meeting by correcting the mistake. When we work at a company, there are a lot of meetings. In the meeting, the leader sometimes misunderstands the topic. Of course, whether we should correct the mistake or not is a tough decision. However, it is critical to avoid unreasonable conclusions in the business scene. For example, I work at an electronics company as an engineer. One day, I discussed how to sell our products. I noticed that our team leader misunderstood the meaning of the technical term that our customer often uses. I pointed out the misunderstanding to prevent the misunderstanding of the demand of our customers. Our leader seemed to feel a little ashamed, but we could avoid choosing the incorrect sales strategies.

In conclusion, I strongly feel that we should point out mistakes by the leader or the teacher. This is because it is a great chance to let teachers acknowledge our skills or knowledge, and we can avoid making incorrect choices in the meeting by correcting the mistake.
