Additionally, solar energy is non-pollutant, which makes it better for everyone. Finally, there is almost no maintenance as solar panels have a long life span without regular maintenance. So, the benefits seem to be overwhelmingly positive and supportive of further production

First, the passage talks about the ability for solar energy to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. In contrast, the lecturer says that although people have to use fossil fuels for solar panels, but it is only for them. The lifespan of the solar system makes the amount of energy gained by this system worth the amount used before.
Second, the writing explains the non-pollutant aspect of solar energy, that has zero harmful byproduct. According to the professor, it also allows the person to control energy output and where it goes. This will benifits in health and financial aspects.
Third, the audio supports the reading about the low cost of solar energy regardless the cost of the panels which is the only thing the buyer has to pay for. Moreover, the are two additional points about the cost: the ability to sell the excess energy to companies and tax incentives.
Finally, in the opinion of both the article and the professor, these benifits will be good for individuals, cities, and planet. That's why they should help customers to consider switching to solar power.
