Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends.

Human beings need friends in all stages of their lives, and there are two ways to have friends, staying with an old one or trying to make new friends. Personally, i believe its more beneficial to make new friends rather than staying with one old friend. I feel this way for two reasons.
The main reason is that, i get to experience and enjoy new things.I get really bored when i hang out with same friend over and over again but when i meet up with new people all that boring goes away. For example, couple weeks ago, when i was in my last trip to USA, i met a good friend at the library her name is elizabeth. Elizabth is a very out going person, she would never visit the same place twice. we discovered a-lot of things together. For instance, she took me to the nature museum at Iowa City as well as the downtown where we enjoyed eating out at a Moroccan restaurant. We didn't only hangout but also we have been to the shelter house where we volunteered to assist people to get food, clothing, bathing and laundry facilities. I would never in million years think i would go to this place. This experience especially taught me lot about generosity, caring and loving for whom in need.
Second reason is that, making new friendly relationships will definitely expose us to multiple new opportunities. In order to get new job or promotion, you should be sociable and friendly person. For example , few days ago, my friend omar was telling me a story about his friend who was desperate to shadow with pediatric cardiologists. Fortunately, i happened to know a pediatric cardiologist who was my new friend ahmad that i met when i was at a coffee shop with my brother and his friends. Immediately, i sent him a note that i have a friend who is in need of shadowing at your clinic , he was more than welcoming. I got back to ahmad and delivered him the great news. He couldn't believe what i was telling him, he kept screaming and saying thank you so much for this opportunity. I felt so happy for him. As you can see, meeting with new friends could really grant people with wonderful chances.
In sum, though some people may oppose my opinion of always making new friends. Not only we will experience new things bout also we will get alot of amazing opportunities. Every one should consider expanding his friends' zone.
