Protest and demonstration are happening in the campus, as the same as in many places because of medical research performed on animals this is name vivisection. Most people are against the ethical and procedure treatment of animals. However, most people agree that the priority should be the reduction of human suffering.

According to the passage humans and chimpanzees share about 99% of their genes. So, it means that it isn’t better substitute for animals experimentation. But, the professor said she is concerned about animals experimentation no matter what and she says there are others ways to make medical research for example computer simulation.

The usefulness of animals testing has been demonstrated over and over, according to the lecture the germ theory, the penicillin and the insulin couldn’t been done without animal testing. In spite of that, the professor demonstrate some medical research that could be done without them for examples: Anesthesia and aspirin.

In conclusion, the professor says that no one can be forced to do anything without an agreement and that it shouldn’t be done no matter benefits. However, In the passage it says that animal testing remains crucial tool today and it is immoral to risk human life when it can be tested on animals.
