Both the the reading and the lecture discuss about migration of first people to the north America. While the reading says that first people to migrate to north America were from eastern Asia and they migrate through land known as Beringia, the lecture disagrees.

First, the lecture claims that first people who migrate used terrain named Beringia. However, the lecture insists that new research on DNA of American people suggest that first people were from syberia and they might come 40,000 years ago, long before native americans.

Next, The reading asserts that artifacts made by the people from Asia found. In contrast, the lecture argues that the tool was found by archaeologist are 19,000 year old. In fact, the evidance suggest that the people from Asia were came 11,000 to 13,000 years ago, thousands of years after the date of orignal artifacts made which discovered from New Mexico region of North America.

Finally, the reading state that Asian people cross Beringia bridge after the ice melt. On the other hand, the lecture points out that ice on Beringia would’ve melt 13000 years ago and century must have take them to cross the bridge. Some migrated people were came to North america 15000 years ago many years before the Asian people.
