There are two opinions about communal online encyclopedias which represented in lecture and passage. Passage account for demerit of them by three reasons, on the other hand, lecture disagree with the passage and give three reasons. I try to elaborate debate in following paragraphs.
The first reason was mentioned by the narrator was about how error and faulty will be in communal online encyclopedias because most of their editor do not have academic credentials and make them untrustable. the professor did not concede that and explains that online encyclopedias are more trustable as they updated every moment and if there was any error it will be corrected easily, on the contrary in traditional ones, there will be some difficulties to correct the error and it may take a long time.
Also, the writer of passage believe that everyone can easily change the originals information and it gives bad guys opportunity to do everything they want but it should be noted that any changes in the traditional encyclopedia are impossible. Professor rejects his reason and stand out for her idea and amplify that it does not possible to anyone change context of online encyclopedia since the user can only see reading format of it and the exclusive user only were allowed to edit context.
To wrap it up, the writer explains about his last reason which is about how the owner of this online directory can decide to boast some topics intentionally and it had an impression on readers. on the other hand, audio thought that is one of the most advantageous of an online directory and it gives readers an opportunity to easily find important articles from a diversity of topics.
