quackers

Essay topics:

quackers

What causes the sounds quackers between 1960s and 1980s in Russian submarines is still a mystery. The sources of the sound moves too quick for the submarines' sonar to detect, which makes it hard to investigate the real reason of quackers. There are only several theories about what caused the odd sounds.
To elaborate, the author thinks that the sound were calls of orca whales during some courtship ritual. The sounds when orcas are trying to attract a mate are really similar to quackers. However, in the listening, the woman actually thinks it's impossible, because orcas live on the surface of the ocean but the sounds quarckers are from the deep ocean.
Secondly, some theory thinks that the sounds were originated from giant squid. The giant squid is hardly known by human, it may have the ability to emit the sound and approach the submarines without being discovered. But the listening thinks this is impossible for the reason that giant squid still lives in the ocean today. There is no way that it only makes that sound between 1960s and 1980s.
Finally, some people suggest that it's the foreign submarines who caused the sound. They may use a specific technology to make the sound undetectable by sonar, and may emitted the sound unintentionally later. On the contrary, the listening argues that foreign submarines can't move as quick as the source od the sound. The souce of the sound can move around and change direction, but human ships are unable to do that.
