Question: Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how the proposal discussed in the lecture would solve the specific challenges described in the reading passage.

The article states that it is impossible to make Venus as a permanent residence for humans and provides three reasons of support. In contrast, the professor explains that living in Venus is possible and repudiates the points outlined in the reading.

Firstly, the lecturer implies that humans can float in the atmosphere of Venus to avoid from being crushed by landing due to high pressure. He specifies that as long as humans do not land on the surface of Venus, there is safe for them. On the other hand, according to the passage, due to high pressure at Venus' surface, anything would be crushed by landing on its area.

In addition, the speaker discusses that lack of water and oxygen is not vital, since carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulfuric acids contain oxygen and water. Therefore, she indicates that there is an opportunity to produce water and oxygen by some chemical processes. However, the author of the passage emphasizes that scarce resource of water and oxygen makes Venus an improper choice for permanent living. Moreover, the reading makes it clear that importing water and oxygen from Earth is not a feasible solution.

Finally, the instructor points out that as the cloud above the planet is not thick and reflect significant amount of lights, it is feasible to have some energy to produce sufficient amount of electricity. On the contrary, the reading includes some information on lacks of sunlight in the Venus' surface, as a result of thick clouds above the planet, which is the cause of reflecting lights. Therefore, the text states that human could not get enough electricity.
