Strategic advertising is vital for businesses who want to get their names out to customers, along with information about their products and services. One of the strongest advantages of radio over TV is that the commercial spots can be better targeted to customer segments.

First, the professor says that event advertising is of paramount importance to a corporation. Featuring events or programs catering to customers’ interest, companies can make people more willing the pay the money.
Second, she agrees that airing radio commercials can save a significant amount of money for the company than TV commercials. Besides the additional payment for a video production company, radio commercials generally require fewer people to produce, and these people are typically company employees. Moreover, by using staff in the company to devise the scripts, they can infuse the advertisements with more personal elements, making it more attractive.
Third, the professor endorses the passage regarding the issue of potential consumers. While the radio advertisements are limited to sound, this characteristic can actually be beneficial. People can listen to the radio when they are in the congested traffic or taking the mass transportation. What’s more, nowadays, with the advent of ADVR, people tend to record TV programs without watching TV commercials. Thus, it is more likely for the radio advertisements, which can be well-crafted, to reach customers.
