the reading explained the advantages of working on a project with a team, but as the professor expressed in the lecture teamwork will not always have a good process and a reliable result.
As the reading states, a group of people has more knowledge, expertise, and skill than individuals. teamwork will go and finish very quickly also, all members of the group will take responsibility for the decisions that the group makes.
Moreover, in a group, people have an opportunity to show their ability because typically the teamwork will have a great result so, the members will be seen more when they are in the group.
In contrast, the professor explained, when a company created a team to work on a project with this view that they will take responsibility and get the work done so better, the result was horrible. anyone in the group had a free ride, there were not any contribution between them. the work moved so slowly because building an agreement in the group was kind of impossible.
After all, the result of the project was not creative or good. some of the group members had rested all the time then when it came to responsibility, the members ignored each other while the manager considered the work for all of them.
