whit this set of materials, both the reading passage and lecture discuss the possibility of the migration of one kind of the dinasours which is named Edmontosaurus. While the reading passage firmly states that the must have migrated to warmer territories in winter in order to survive, the proffesor casts doubt on this hypothesis.

Firstly, the lecturer avers that Edmontosaurus did not have to migrate to find the food beacuse this region used to has warmer in the and it had sunshine in the whole summer. So, the plants have had a plenty of time to grow in the summer. As a result, there was a a lot of nutrition material for them in the winter. Conversly, the article mentions in this region there would have been no plants growing during the cold seasons so these dinaosaurs must have migrated for finding food.

Moreover, The professor concurs with the fact that edmontosaurus would have lived in herd But it does not neseccery means they would have migrated. He remarks that animals live in the herd due to many reasons such as extra protection agains predators. For instance, rosvelt elk which lives in the forests of the united states live in the herd due to this reason. On the other hand, the text contends that the edmontosaurus live in the herd due to migrating.

Finally, the professor says that all of the dinosaurs in the herd were not adult and there were some juvenile Edmontosaurus among the herd. So, it was hard for them to migrate such a long distance and they could not survive. In the contrary, the essay claims the edmontosaurus had the ability to move such a distance to reach the warm regions.
