The passage and lecture mainly talk about the possibility that dinosaurs are Endotherms. The author lists evidence of dinosaurs' living environment, the physiological structure, and the bone structure of dinosaurs. While the professor states other reasons to argue it.

To begin with, the passage indicates that some dinosaursdinosaurs’ bones exist in Polar Regions, which is so cold for dinosaurs that they must be the endotherms for activity. However, the lecture claims that in the period of dinosaurs living, the Polar Region in fact was not so cold as the passage said. Evidence indicates some other modern reptiles also live in this area. So, even if dinosaurs are not endotherms, their fossils also could be found there.

Furthermore, the passage indicates the dinosaurs have the legs underneath their bodies, which may mean dinosaurs are endotherms. On the contrary, the lecture argues that reason why dinosaurs have such physiological structure is that they need grow large; the legs are evolved to the stain their weight.

Besides, though the passage states that the dense Haversian canals found on the dinosaurs' bones indicates they belongs to endotherms, the lecture also give an objectiveopposite evidence of growthing ring, which means the dinosaurs cannot grow very fast. The Haversian canals, means the creature grow fast, is a character only exist on endotherms. However, the growth ring means dinosaurs, like other modern reptiles, have a period that grow relatively slowly.
