tpo 66 Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific methods proposed in the reading passage.

The reading passage discusses three advantages of the airships, which aeronautical engineers believe that airships could become popular again, and the lecturer casts doubts on each advantage.

First and foremost, the writer of the article claims that one of the advantages of airships is that those use gases rather than engine. Therefore, airships use less fuel than a typical aircraft. However, the lecturer refutes this claim. He explains that it is true that airships use less fuel but the special gases that serve as a fuel such as hydrogen and helium have many issues when operating. For example, hydrogen catches fire easily. Helium is difficult to obtain because is expansive. Consequently, it is hard to keep the balance of the safe and cost of those gases.

Secondly, the author of the reading passage points out that another advantage of airships is that they could be used in locations that is hard to be reached. On the contrary, the professor disagrees with this point. He said that operating in difficult locations such as picking up tree' logs in a dense forest, it will require that airship should be steady. Since airship is light like a balloon, it is hard to move in a stay way. Therefore, it will be impossible for airships to keep a steady balance, in order to operate in this types of environments.

Finally, the reading passage states that airships could replace satellites because they could rise high above the surface and stay there without refueling for a long time. On the other hand, the lecturer, cannot disagree more, by saying that airships could not replace satellites, yet. this is because they could not resist the high winds that are present in that height, which satellites are. In order to resists, airships should spend a lot of fuel, and as result they need to come back down to Earth for refueling. Consequently, to do this movements many times, it will cost a lot of money.
