Musicians express their thought and feelings through their compositions. Most of a musicians work is at its atmost popularity during his generation, as the generation proceeds to change the audience taste of music changes and would make the style of the musician's composition desicctaed.

The generation of audience, to which the musician's composition is targeted plays a vital role in how the piece of work is being assessed. For example if we take classic metal, it was more popular during the 1970's than it is now. The generation of audience keeps changing from decade to decade, music which motivated the audience in one generation might be just noise for the upcomming once. Although, it is still evident that people who belonged to the musician's generation hold his work dear to them, for them that is pure talent.

Musicians also compose their song giving importance to a particular context in mind. For example, if a musician had based his work on romance and love, for the generation which is after his death, might consider that as illogical and may be at some point nonsense. Musicians most of the time use moon and stars to depict the roamnce that happens between a couple in love, comparing the girls face to a full moon for instance. For the current generation, knowing that the moon is filled with craters might take this the other way which simply demeans the one being complemented with the song. This doesn't mean that the musicians composition was nonsense for the people of his regime.

It is clear that, assessing the musicians work after his death in a different generation that too will not provide fair circumstances to evaluate the musician's talent.
