The charts illustrated changes in the quantity of phone calling communications, which is measured in billions minutes. During the period starting from 1995 to 2002 in the UK. There are three different types of calls which are addressed (local calls, national and international calls and mobiles calls)

Overall, local communications recorded the highest rate compared with the other mentioned categories. Both national and mobiles calls increased dramatically over given eight years.

In terms of local calls, from 1995 to 1998, it achieved just under double amount at billions minutes comparing with national and international call. By 1999, it peaked to 90, then following three years saw a gradual decrease to reach the minimum level to just above 60.

However, despite national and international category rose slightly year after year, the mobiles calls saw a dramatically increase, which recorded more than 40 in 2002 comparing with approximately 5 in 1995.
