Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in relation to the advertisement placed in the college notice board for a part time assistant to work in the library during summer vacation for a small payment. I have been pursuing Graduate program in Library Science in your school and available for work.

While I was in school, I worked as a volunteer at my community library, assisting the librarian with check-in and check-out of books. Also, I organized story telling sessions for less privileged children in a nearby slum. Being a student of library science, I possess outstanding skills in book-keeping and restoration of old books.

This job is very important for me, not only for financial benefit, but also to gain invaluable experience in managing a library. Moreover, I am interested to take up voluntary work which will benefit the community. In addition to that, doing some part-time job will help boost my confidence level and give me a sense of individuality and independence. I have attached my resume for your kind consideration.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
Kiran Attaluri
