Hi! How are you? I hope everything is well. I am writing this letter to let you know that I will not be able to pay my rent for next month, January.
Due to unexpected circumstances, our company declared bankruptcy and all of us, employees are affected of this news. Because of what happened, our salary will be delayed and this is frustrating since I get all my expenses for my rent and to buy my personal necessities from my pay.
I feel ashamed that I will be skipping my rent for a month. However, I promise that this will be the first and last time that my payment will be late. Our human resource department assured us that by end of January. Cheques will be mailed to us and by the first week of February, I will hand you my payment personally.
I am hoping for your kind consideration to my favor. If it is a problem, please let me know immediately.
