You recently discovered that there are plans to construct an airport in your locality. Write a letter to the local authority.
In your letter, you should tell:
• explain how you knew about the plans
• describe the negative effect of the construction on your neighborhood
• suggest a possible solution to the problem.
Dear Sir,
I am penning down this epistle to draw your attention towards this recent project of building an airport in “Green Park locality” which I assume would be a cause of concern for the localities.
Yesterday, when I was surfing the e-newspaper on my mobile, this news about the commencement of construction of this new airport took my interest. Initially, I got quite fascinated with the fact that this is a step towards development of the area, but, unfortunately, I got worried once I read the whole article.
There were multiple things that were concerning. First of all, the article stated that the area of community centre in west will be demolished to give space to the airport which is disturbing as this is the only place where not only kids enjoy their leisure time but also the adult and elderly come to spend some quality time with their peers. Besides this, I regret to say that the tranquillity of the area will vanish as the hustle and bustle of travellers along with the noise of airplanes would cause multifarious issues in vicinity.
Thereby, I, as a reputed member of society, request you from all of us that reconsideration of this project should be done. We, too, desire to have growth of the area but not at the stake of peace. Even, I would also like to suggest the relocation of this airport as 20 miles away from our locality, there is barren land which can be utilized without harming anything.
Hoping for your positive action onto this matter.
Yours faithfully, 30th March,2021
Mary Andrew.
