Dear Mr. Sharma,
I am writing this letter to inform you about my ill health during the past couple of days which is the reason for my absenteeism from the office.
It has been a week that I have had a high fever along with with stomach infection as well. The doctor had diagnosed that i have typhoid after careful examination, and has mentioned water as the sole cause of this problem. Along with these problems, I have been experiencing cervical pain and back problems due to prolonged sitting on our seats during office hours.
I am certain this problem has arised due to the water that we drink from the water dispenser in the pantry which has not been cleaned for so many months. This could also be the reason for many other employees frequently falling sick. Also the office cabins are so cramped up and there is no free space for employees to move around to relax themselves, resulting in many employees feeling stiff neck and back pain.
I would request the senior management to consider the hardships faced by employees in the organisation due to lack of potable water and insufficient facilities for employees to unwind and relax themselves. Setting up Certain calm places in the office premises like foosball tables or carom tables or couches would be very beneficial in improving the health of employees.
