Some students prefer classes with open discussions between the professor and students and almost no lectures. Other students prefer classes with lectures and almost no discussions. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In the contemporary world, young adults are approaching a wide variety of styles to focus on studies. If I were asking about listening style, I would prefer the open discussion with others in the class instead of merely listening. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.
The first reason is understing the subject. Students in the discussion classes often share their knowledge and experience with their classmates during the discussion session, and it makes the subject easy to understand. On top of that, the professor in the group class shares their personal experiences to understand the topic and helpful for students to remember for a long time. My own experience is a compelling example of this. When I was studying my high school, at Omak public school, I attended language classes every evening. In my class, a total of ten students from different nations and everybody have their strategies to learn English. Some people started from scratch; such as from the basic grammar to sentence development, but others write essay first and then correcting grammar mistakes. When I was studying that class, everyone in the class discusses the advantages and drawbacks of their strategies and that makes it easy for me to understand English.
Secondly, classes with open discussion never get boar. It is evident because everyone in the class keeps on raising questions, and others share their opinion. As a result, the class is more engaging and stimulate the student's mind for a long time to concentrate on the class. For instance, when I was studying for a master’s at Ohio state university, my chemistry professor often gave us powerpoint presentations as an assignment. Every day at the end of the class, students have to present their work in front of the class and others as an opportunity to raise their voice. What’s more, classes are more fun, and people in the class make comments on others presentation. Overall, discussion classes are more fun learning compare to only listening classes.
In conclusion, classes with open discussion are preferable. This is because of easy to understand the subject and more fun. I suggest people take group discussion classes to make their student life fun and to gain more knowledge.

---------------------
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
