Some students prefer classes with open discussions between the professor and students and almost no lectures. Other students prefer classes with lectures and almost no discussions. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Class is very important for our lives. class is a place, where we get to learn something important for our career and for our life. Some people believe that open discussion between the professor and students is better. Others disagree. In my view, classes with lectures and no discussions is better for two reasons.
First, classes with lecture and no discussion helps us to learn the things in a proper way without going out of the topic. When we learn anything new, we want to know the things from the begining to the last in a serial way. For example, when I was in university taking electric machine class. There was a professor who used to teach us very well without having any doubts. Also, the notes presented by him were amazing. But, whenever some of the students had to discuss anything, he used to get annoyed and always diverted out of the topic. So, discussion always was disturbing the flow of class. As a result we were not able to study according to the syllabus provided by the university.That is why, taking the lecture without discussions provides us a smooth way of learning.
Second, with no discusiion in class provides us an environment of peace, which allow teachers to share his knowledge and experience in away they want to. Discussion divert owns mind and sometimes people miss out the flow, they are at and important things are missed. Fort example, in the university while taking powerplant class, there was a professor who used to teach in his own way like, he used to teach for some time and then strats to share his own experience related to the topic. As a result, we were able to know about the real scenario problems listening to him. One day which sharing his experience, one of my friend asked the thing that was not of that class and after answering his questiom, Professsor forgot to continue the topic and we had loss of not getting his full story. So, I believe while taking lectures, discussions creates a situation where we get lost and important thing is missed.
In sum, whether discussion while taking lecture is good because we get a chance to ask our doubts or not because we get out of the topic, taking classes with lectures and no discussion always provides a way of getting the things in smoother and better way. That is why we should all take the classes with lectures and no discussions.

---------------------
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
