Franchising
In this set of material, the writer strongly postulates that franchising is of paramount importance for people who want to have their own business, and provides three advantages to endorse its idea. First and foremost, the reading begins by asserting that franchising provides business owners with an opportunity to get reliable suppliers and prevent them from losses. The lecturer refutes this claim by insisting that a franchise company, in reality, forces the owners to buy the goods and services from their suppliers. On the other hand, independent companies can get equivalent services at much cheaper prices, but companies associated with the franchise cannot buy those services independently and have to buy expensive suppliers' services.
Furthermore, he mentions the fact that franchised company has to give 6% of sum total salary to an established company, then in return, they get an advertisement. Moreover, those advertisements are not alone for a single owner's company, many other businesses and stores get benefits too and, an established company is basically advertising its own brand or name. These claims clearly refute the writer's implication that franchising provides companies with the opportunity for advertisement.
Ultimately, the writer wraps its arguments by stating that franchising gives security to businesses as they reduced the risk proportions. Not surprisingly, the lecturer rebates this claim by contending that companies could reduce the risks but do not provide security. To be more specific, the reading did not talk about another important aspect which businesses owner can get benefit from. That is buying businesses from already existing independent owners, who really want to sell their businesses. If owners buy such businesses it would be much more successful and profitable.
