Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they challenge the specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading and the lecture are both about endotherms, which are animals who can maintain a constant body temperature. The author of the reading believes that dinosaurs were endotherms and he provides some theories. The lecturer casts doubt on the claim made in the article. She states that all those theories are able to be disproved.
First of all, the author points out that during the excavation, scientists found some fossils of dinosaurs in Polar regions. It states that only endotherms are able to survive at those weather conditions, because of their ability to retain temperature at the constant rate. This point is challenged by the lecturer. She says that weather conditions were less harsh in the past than it is now. So, it was possible to non-endotherms to survive there.
Secondly, the author contends that dinosaurs, in contrast with modern reptiles, had an underneath legs position, which is one of the features of endotherms. The lecturer rebuts this argument. She suggests that this legs position is not a trait of endotherms. Moreover, dinosaurs had a great weight, so it is a one explanation of this body structure.
Finally, the author states that dinosaur`s fossils contained Haversian canals, which provide a rapid growth. Furthermore, this pattern of growth inherits to endotherms. The lecturer on the other hand posits that also in those fossils were found growth rings, which can give us an information about dinosaur`s growth. So, scientist noticed that during the cool period the dinosaur`s growth stopped and when the temperature increased the animal started to grow again. In addition, this is one of the characteristic on non-endotherms.
In conclusion, I would like to say that there are a lot of theories, which support the information that dinosaurs were endotherms, but no one of them unproved.
