The reading and the lecture are both about “buzzing." The author of the reading believes many critics would like buzzing to be banned. the lecturer challenges the statements made by the author. He is of the opinion that dissenting from those critics argues for buzzing in three aspects.

First of all, the author suggests that the critics complain that consumers should know whether a person praising a product is being paid to praise the product or not. This argument is challenged by the lecture. He says although they are paid by companies, are actually previous users having enjoyed the product and willing to share their real thoughts with us.

Secondly, the writer contends that buzzers pretend they are just private individuals, consumers listen to their endorsements less critically than they should. The lecturer, however, rebuts this by asserting that they question about details such as price, service and the buzzer’s familiarity before drawing their final decision according to the responses.

Finally, it is stated in the article that the harmful effect that buzzing is likely to have on social relationships. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits that he indicates that buzzers are only employed to promote worthy products they ever used to leave consumers a nice experience.
