According to the reading, while it is feasible to establish a place for human's prescence on mars and moon, constructing such a place on venus is not possible. The reading brings three reasons to support this idea; the professor, however, despite believing the mentioned reasons, calims the mentioned problems can be solved by considering proper actions.
In the first place, the reading states that the atmospheric pressure is much great in venus surface, and everything will be crushed soon. But the professor proposes that by constructing a floating station, similar to a balloon, the station can be placed 50 kilometer above the surface; thus the pressure will be akin to atmospheric pressure on earth.
Second, there is no water sources on venus, even the atmosphere does not have water vapor. Since water is vital for human beings, people should take water to venus that seems impractical. On the other hand, the lecturer believes scientist can easily make water on venus by using venus atmosphere's chemical materials. So, there is no need to import water from earth to venus.
For the last one, the reading asserts because of thick layer of clouds on venus, there is not adequate sun light and most of them will be reflected. The professor, again, mentions that by having a floating station, most thick cloud will be under the station and the station will recieve enogh sunlight. besides that, due the presence of thick layer below the station, scients can use both direct sun light and reflected light from the underlying clouds. This will be beneficiary for solar power cells.
