Both the reading passage and the lecturer discuss the topic of the frog species declined due to the changes of environment. However, the speaker against with the agruments in the reading part. He advance several reasons to oppose the article.

First of all, frogs often harmed by pesticides. Although the writer states that pesticides used by farmers to prevent insects. These pesticides damage frog's skin and always destroy frog's habitats. Yet, this is very different from the lecturer's claim that it's not fair for farmers. When government start a strict regulation, farmers will lose their crop to competiting another farmer. Thus, the lecturer believes that pesticides is valuable for farmers.

Second, frog populations declined by fungus. Although the writer states that the skin of frogs will unable to absorb water, leading to dehydration. But the research show that it can be prevent with treatments. The lecturer holds a different viewpoint. According to that lecturer, treatments are cost a lot of money. Also, treatment have to use differently to each species of frogs. The treatments can not use again and agin in every generations. Therefore, the lecturer concludes that the treatment is too difficult for whole frogs species.

Third, the frog's habitats get destroyed by human activities. The lecturer disputes the writer's opinion that frog's environment threatened by draining of wetland and water use. The lecturer points out that the main reasons of damaged environment might contribute to global warming. Global warming leads frogs to be extinct. Hence, the lecturer holds that frogs may not stop getting damaged by protection from water development.

In summary, the lecturer thinks that the writer's points are not convincing. So, reading and listening contents are different.
