The table reveals the quantities of people who visited Ashdown Museum between the year before and that after the refurbishment, while the two pie charts suggest visitor satisfaction according to surveys conducted to accumulate their responses by 4 degrees. As a whole, it is noticeable that by renovating this museum, it attracted more people and gained better feedbacks from its visitors.
Before the refurbishment, the amount of visitors was 74,000, and half of them were not so satisfied with the museum, with 40% of overall visitors voting ‘Dissatisfied’ and 10% of those ‘Very dissatisfied’. However, there were still 45% of visitors describing the museum as meeting their expectations, and within this kind of samples, those satisfied (30%) were twice as those very satisfied (15%).
By comparison, after the renovation of the museum, not only visitors increased by 18,000 up to 92,000, but their comments on it were also improved. It is notable that exactly three quarters of them expressed their satisfaction, combined ver satisfied group (35%) and merely satisfied group (40%). What is more impressive is that only 5% were extremely dissatisfied with be newly refurbished museum and its proportion decreased by half compared with former situation.
